Azita Ghanizada

Azita was born in Kabul in Afghanistan. The woman is Afghan American who lives in the United States. The family she was born into fled Afghanistan and sought refuge in the US. She was born there. Ghanizada is the middle child with two brothers and sisters, and was raised in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada began her career on television with a role in National Commercials. For the Laura Neri film A Kiss on the Nose (2004) Ghanizada played the lead role of Chiara an appearance for which she won the film festival's best actress nomination. Television guest-starring roles include How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars the Wedding Bells NUMB3RS bones Psych and Castle. Most recently, she played a supporting role in the science-fiction action film Blood Shot (2009) and the comedy series by independent filmmakers You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada was first noticed in 2008 when she was a part of the crew of the General Hospital spin-off General Hospital. as the character Dr. Saira Bhata, an specialist in holistic health on Night Shift's second season. Ghanizada starred as Kelly who was a Prada Sales Girl in HBO Entourage from 2009 and was cast as a character in the television pilot Tough Trade by Weeds creator Jenji Kohn, and executive producer T Bone Burnett.
